As the state of Florida begins moving through phases to reopen, the leadership of FBCO believes it is time for us to do the same. We are prepared to reopen services in accordance with the current executive order for Florida. This means that in addition to the proper maximum number of attendees at services, we will continue to work hard to ensure the safety of everyone through steps such as: removing our regular greeting time, offering "touch free" giving options, offering hand sanitizer throughout the facility, regularly cleaning the facility after services, spacing chairs out 6 feet to maintain distancing, and keeping the occupancy of our buildings to no more than 25%.
FBCO will reopen in several phases, the first of which can be found below. Our official date to begin Phase One will be May 10, 2020 (Mother's Day)!
Phase One In this phase, we will hold worship services in the Family Life Center on Sundays at 10:30am. There will be no Sunday School, Children's Church, Nursery, Wednesday night services, or Sunday evening Bible studies during this first phase. Families with children, please be prepared to have your children sit with you for the entire service.
While we will take every step possible to ensure a safe environment for worship, we want to encourage everyone to continue exercising wisdom and discretion. Florida's current executive order states that, "senior citizens and individuals with a significant underlying medical conditions...are strongly encouraged to stay home." Please know that if this applies to you, or if you think you may be sick, or are nervous about attending services, we will continue to offer online services each Sunday so you can continue worshiping with us. These will be live-streamed from the Family Life Center at 11:00am on our YouTube channel.
If you plan to attend on-campus services, please come prepared to maintain social distancing and to exercise healthy practices such as: frequently washing/sanitizing hands, avoiding touching your eyes, nose, or mouth, and covering all coughs and sneezes in the bend of your elbow. If you are willing, we encourage the use of masks to limit the spread of any possible germs.
